一 招聘崗位

浙江大學愛丁堡大學聯合學院院長1名。

二 應聘條件

1.理想信念堅定，有較強的使命感、責任感。熱愛教育事業，對國家教育對外開放戰略、“雙一流”戰略和長三角一體化戰略等有較為深刻的理解，熟悉國際化辦學情況。具有良好的師德師風，堅持原則、辦事公正、治學嚴謹、團結協作、樂于奉獻。

2.應聘人應為生命健康領域具有國際影響力的杰出科學家。

3.具有豐富的國內外一流大學或科研院（所）的教學科研經歷，具有教授或相當專業技術職務。

4.有強烈的事業心和開拓精神，具備較強的駕馭全局、解決復雜問題的能力，具備較高的行政管理水平和較強的統籌協調能力。

5.有較強的對外交流溝通能力，有較強的英語聽、說、讀、寫能力和跨文化交流能力，有海外學習、教學、研究工作經歷者優先。

6.身體健康，年齡一般不超過50周歲，能全職到崗。學術業績特別突出的，可適當放寬年齡限制。

三 崗位主要職責

1.在國際聯合學院（海寧國際校區）班子領導下，全面負責浙江大學愛丁堡大學聯合學院的工作。

2.制定浙江大學愛丁堡大學聯合學院發展戰略，把握學科發展方向；健全并完善浙江大學愛丁堡大學聯合學院的教學、科研、行政管理體制；制定并實施高層次人才引進、骨干教師培養計劃，建設高水平師資隊伍；加強與國外合作高校協調溝通。

3.積極推進國際合作教育樣板區建設，把浙江大學愛丁堡大學聯合學院建設成為高水平中外合作辦學的標桿、高等教育國際化的示范、區域高質量發展的引擎和中西文明交流互鑒的平臺。

Zhejiang University is seeking candidates and nominations for the position of Dean of Zhejiang University-University of Edinburgh Institute （ZJE）。  Building on the existing strengths of its world leading partners the ZJE focuses on biomedical and health science, particularly stem cell and regenerative medicine, inflammation and immunity, infectious diseases, etc. ZJE brings together the best practices of Zhejiang University School of Basic Medical Sciences and the University of Edinburgh Medical School: Biomedical Sciences.  ZJE is a unique and successful partnership between two World leading Universities and awarded the Education Institutional Partnership of the Year 2018-2020: Zhejiang University ranks 53rd in the QS World Rankings 2020; University of Edinburgh ranks 20th. 

ZJE is situated at Zhejiang University International Campus Haining, 80 miles southwest of Shanghai and 50 miles northeast of Hangzhou. The International Campus, Zhejiang University is major pillar of ZJU's internationalization strategy.

Position Summary 

Zhejiang University seeks to appoint a visionary scientist and educator able to lead ZJE into the future through a rapidly changing scientific and research funding environment.  The Dean will facilitate ZJE's ambition to build a world leading educational and research partnership in biomedicine of international standing, connecting scientific endeavour to society through teaching, basic and translational research and entrepreneurship.  This is a unique opportunity for an innovative leader and accomplished scientist to join one of the leading international education and research joint institutes in China.

Required Qualifications

2. understands the value of biomedical science research, research-led education and its benefits for all humankind,

3. able to make a compelling case to scientific, research and education leaders for the support and promotion of ZJE research and education globally,

4. able to implement the strategic vision to strengthen this prestigious Institute and lead it toward its core mission to develop the model of international education partnership.

5. demonstrates integrity and cultural sensitivity,

6. has had senior-level scientific administrative experience, including demonstrated ability to manage a large complex research and teaching institute. 

7. is an innovative first class internationally renowned researcher, qualified in a field relevant to the scientific priorities of the Institute, who understands the importance of novel approaches for the development of biomedical science research,

8. has profound understanding of national and regional development strategies, particularly the “Double First-class Initiative” and the Integrated Development of Yangtze River Delta,

9. fluent in English and Mandarin.
